Hi, Welcome to the Bob Gillingham Ford website. Being a third generation family dealership with only one location, we have to try even harder to compete with large chain dealers and auto groups in our area. The key to our business is having great employees to help Northeast Ohio’s residents. Having that one location allows us to keep those employees to complete the family atmosphere we have created over the last 50 plus years.

The beginning: After having an Army, Air Force tour during World War II, my father Bob Sr., held various positions as a parts driver and salesman both for my grandfather Clyde Zahner at Zahner Ford in Cleveland and a dealership in Florida. Dad started our business in 1957 with a small building on Lorain Ave, and a small 2 car showroom. >From that humble beginning, we have grown into a prosperous business warranting a move to the Parma community in the 60’s where to this day we still call home. Bob sr. was the backbone thru some lean economic times in the auto industry. His commitment was passed down thru me and now helps my 2 sons, Rob and Matt lead the dealership into today. With 10 acres displaying hundreds of new cars and trucks. Along with a unique used car department with Certified Pre-Owned Fords and a classic and high performance department including new Roush and Saleen vehicles, we find ourselves helping buyers all over the world. With Cleveland growing in the 50’s and 60’s Bob sr. envisioned a central location that could serve both east and west siders families alike. When he started the business, his premise was to treat employees like customers, and customers like Kings and Queens. Happy employees lead and translate to happy customers, pretty simple…and our world class sales, service, parts and body shop departments display this fact daily. Other than my education and a tour of duty in the US Army during the Vietnam War, I too have spent my entire life in the car business and still today love every minute of that experience. With Rob, and Matt handling day to day operations I spend a lot of my time now as a customer advocate, community volunteer and watching our staff continue to win awards and delight customers.
